- Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role; non-profit experience is preferred.

- Minimum 1 year of experience with full-cycle and high-volume recruitment.

- Strong working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.

- Working knowledge of HRIS platforms; experience with BambooHR is an asset.

- Experience working in a unionized environment; labour relations experience at the Step 1 grievance level is an asset.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment and handle confidential information with discretion.

- HRPA membership with a CHRP designation, or working towards it, is an asset.

- Understanding of refugee issues and a commitment to anti-racism, access and equity.

What we offer

- Extended health and dental benefits following successful completion of probation.

- Up to 18 paid sick days per year, prorated based on the employee’s start date.

- 3 weeks of vacation and 2 paid float days.
