# A Day in the Life
Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) is a dynamic business with annual revenue exceeding $1 billion across multiple high-growth therapy areas. PVH focuses on diagnosing and treating diseases of the peripheral arteries and veins, helping patients restore blood flow and reduce the risk of limb loss and other serious complications. The portfolio includes minimally invasive technologies such as drug-coated balloons, stents, atherectomy, thrombectomy, embolization, vein ablation, and embolic protection, designed to address complex peripheral vascular disease across a range of patient anatomies. By combining innovation, clinical evidence, and physician partnership, PVH aims to improve procedural outcomes and quality of life for patients worldwide.

This role will require 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
The Senior Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Analyst will be a critical contributor on the Cardiovascular HEOR team. The Senior HEOR Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and methodological expertise to support the development and execution of global health economic and outcomes evidence for Cardiovascular products, with an emphasis on the Peripheral Vascular Health portfolio. This position may be called upon to support multiple therapies, with a specific focus area on leading the execution of studies using administrative data to generate regulatory-grade evidence.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Designs and conducts studies using administrative health care claims data and device-derived data to assess outcomes, health services utilization, treatment patterns and costs associated with the use of PVH therapies. Analysis may be used to support evidence development, federal and global agency (FDA, CMS, EU MDD/MDR) requests, clinical trial design, and reimbursement market trends.
- Designs and conducts observational and economic research studies that provide value, perspective and evidence for clinical and/or pre-clinical product portfolio decisions, marketing, regulatory agency submissions, and product reimbursement strategies.
- Compares and evaluates the value of products and therapies with the clinical, economic, and quality of life outcomes data from clinical trials and/or epidemiology studies, registries, observational studies, modeling, surveys, and meta-analysis.
- Prepare observational and economic research study results for dissemination via abstract, presentation, and/or peer-reviewed publication.
- Develops country specific evidence to meet requirements for optimal reimbursement coverage and usage.
- Works closely with Reimbursement staff to determine the global economic evidence needs and potential impact of evidence on therapy coverage, payment, and adoption.
- Works with clinical research to add relevant health outcomes and economic endpoints to clinical trials and biostatisticians to analyze and report study results.
Must Have; Minimum Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in healthcare industry working with health care data (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, insurance, hospital, health system) or advanced degree and 2 years of post-graduate experience in healthcare industry working with health care data (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, insurance, hospital, health system) preferred
Nice To Have
- Advanced degree in health policy, health services research, health economics, epidemiology, or related field of study
- Experience working with administrative claims data
- Experience designing, modifying, or implementing decision analysis models (i.e., cost-effectiveness, budget impact)
- Experience working with large databases including health care claims, administrative, or patient discharge data as a health service researcher, epidemiologist, data programmer or economist
- Proficiency programming using statistical software (e.g. SAS, STATA, R, etc.)
- Demonstrated competency in database file manipulation, data analysis and graphical presentation
- Strong quantitative skills, preferably with training in econometrics or statistics
- An understanding of health insurance and the U.S. health care system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to communicate complex analytical techniques in a way that is understandable by non-quantitative audiences
- Experience in the development of regulatory-grade analysis, synthesis, and presentation of complex data from multiple sources
- Project management experience; demonstrated consultative mindset
- Proven ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization
- Proven relationship-building and maintaining skills with internal and external stakeholders including physician customers, hospital administrators or payers

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$104,800.00 - $157,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
