Cans Deco Mechanic

Job Description:

CROWN Hellas Can Packaging SA is seeking a skilled Cans Deco Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair decoration machinery for aluminum cans, ensuring optimal production efficiency and product quality.

Job Responsibilities

* Perform routine and preventative maintenance on can decorating equipment, including printers, coaters, and ovens.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on decoration machinery promptly to minimize downtime.
* Execute equipment changeovers and adjustments for different can sizes and designs.
* Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize print quality, registration, and coat application.
* Collaborate with production teams to identify and address recurring equipment problems.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new decoration machinery.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and efficiency.

Job Qualifications

* Proven experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience on printing or decorating machinery.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
* Relevant technical degree or vocational training is preferred.
