Location:  This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. Must be able to work EST/CST hours.

Join our dynamic Cost of Care Strategy & Enablement team as we advance enterprise affordability priorities and drive measurable value! This position will play a critical role in ensuring high-priority Cost of Care initiatives progress from opportunity identification through implementation and value realization.

The Cost of Care Director provides strategic, end-to-end operational orchestration across complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning business segments, markets, and enterprise functions. This role maintains visibility across the initiative lifecycle, connects key stakeholders, identifies and addresses dependencies, risks, and execution barriers, and facilitates timely decisions and escalations to maintain momentum. Working collaboratively with accountable business and execution leaders, this Cost of Care Director helps strengthen operational alignment, optimize ways of working, and accelerate initiatives designed to mitigate healthcare cost trends, improve affordability, and deliver measurable business value.

How you will make an impact:

- Identifies and develops best practices and cost of care improvement processes.
- Provides end-to-end operational orchestration across high-priority Cost of Care initiatives, helping maintain momentum from opportunity identification through implementation and value realization.
- Oversees the identification of potential cost of care savings opportunities through complex analytics via partnering with the cost of care analytics team, to developing action plans, benefits and risk assessments and overseeing and partnering with the actuarial team to develop and ensure accurate savings quantification.
- Champions cost of care initiatives and partners with cross-functional business, clinical, operational, analytics, and other stakeholders to facilitate alignment, clarify dependencies, and accelerate decision-making.
- Manages and presents cost of care projects to senior leadership.
- Participates in Enterprise CoC workgroups and project teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Requires a BS/BA degree; and minimum of 9 years relevant experience in Health Care; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

- Strong strategic, business, financial, and operational acumen, preferably within healthcare, Cost of Care, or affordability.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, communicate effectively, align cross-functional stakeholders, and drive progress without direct authority.
- Strong strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate risks, identify dependencies, resolve barriers, and navigate complex organizational challenges.
- Experience orchestrating complex, enterprise-wide initiatives from strategy through implementation and value realization.
- Prior experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business transformation, or strategic operations preferred.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $109,200 to $195,560.
