About The Role

Our new store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn represents the next evolution of American Giant retail. This menswear -focused concept will bring together American Giant apparel with a curated assortment of accessories and lifestyle goods from other exceptional American-made brands.

As a Sales Associate, you will create an engaging shopping experience for our customers and build long-lasting client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a real passion for style, enjoy engaging with others, and be eager to develop their retail skills.

Responsibilities

Customer Experience

- Initiates conversation and interacts with the customer in an authentic, personalized way

- Utilizes technology to enhance the customer’s experience

- Shares product knowledge, recommendations and personal experiences to engage with the customer

- Suggests alternate products, complementary pieces, outfitting tips, and/or styling ideas based on the customer’s personal style and interests to build their basket

Operations

- Takes initiative in development of job skills and knowledge to drive store sales and achieve operational results

- Assists in the completion of daily projects while keeping the focus on the customer experience

- Demonstrates awareness and adheres to Loss Prevention, Inventory Control, safety standards, and all other Company policies and procedures

- Maintains store and backstock standards

Community & Events

- Assist with in-store events

- Help drive local community engagement

E xperience + Qualifications

- 1+ years of customer service experience in retail environment preferred

- Deeply understands and loves the American Giant brand

- Must be at least 18+ years old or older

- Available to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs—including nights, weekends, peak busy season, and high-traffic retail days (including, but not limited to, public holidays)

- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver throughout the sales floor and stockroom
