Job Summary:
As an EMS Supervisor in our Dispatch Center, you’ll lead a dedicated team to deliver fast, accurate emergency response. Use your expertise to improve operations, mentor staff, and make a real difference in public safety—every shift, every call.
Key Position Details:

- 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)
- 12-hour day/evening/night shifts
- Every 4th weekend rotation

Job Description:
Provides daily operations support of emergency communication center operations. Coordinates and monitors services, performance and productivity levels. Participates in incident command structure during major events. Communicates, supports, manages and educates employees.

Principle Responsibilities
- Leadership of employees. Creates and manages staff work schedules.
- Provides feedback and ongoing development of employees.
- Analyzes performance metrics to identify trends and resolve issues.
- Manages employee training accountability and certification requirements.

- Department operations. Defines individual and team goals.
- Monitors staff and department performance and productivity levels and proposes ways to improve effectiveness and efficiency of processes and procedures.
- Analyzes and identifies problem areas and adjusts processes and staffing priorities.
- Participates in incident command structure during major events.
- Investigates, documents, reports and resolves concerns, complaints and incidents.

- Community public safety. May work with community public safety partners and corporate internal and external stakeholders.

- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Vocational degree within 36 months of hire
- 2 to 5 years in public safety communications center
- 0 to 2 years in a leadership position

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Emergency Medical Services

Licenses/Certifications
- FEMA100-Intro to Incident Command System - FEMA Management institute required within 90 days and
- FEMA200-ICS Single Res-Initial Action - FEMA Management institute required within 90 days and
- FEMA700-Natl Inc Mgmt System-Intro - FEMA Management institute required within 90 days
- Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment in accordance with policy
- Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Certification required within 180 days

- Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently

Pay Range: $38.52 to $52.80 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
