Job Description
As an IT Asset Supervisor with OMES you will enjoy:

Job Details
- Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
- Supports the Information Services Division.
- Salary is up to $75,000 based on education and experience.
Position Responsibilities
People Leadership & Supervision
- Provide direct supervision to IT asset management staff, including work assignment, prioritization, and daily operational guidance.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build technical skills, process knowledge, and professional growth.
- Monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and support performance management processes.
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage, workload balance, and timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and accountable team culture.
- Support onboarding and training of new staff and cross-training within the team.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day IT asset management activities, including software and hardware lifecycle tracking.
- Ensure consistent application of ITAM policies, procedures, and standards by team members.
- Review team work products for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Identify operational risks, issues, or gaps and escalate or address them appropriately.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for IT asset-related issues or concerns.
Collaboration & Support
- Work with IT leadership to support initiatives aimed at optimizing technology spend and improving asset utilization.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support technology purchasing standards and asset governance.
- Act as a liaison between ITAM staff and internal customers to ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement within the IT asset management function.
Tools, Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee the use and data integrity of the enterprise ITAM tool (ServiceNow).
- Coordinate enhancements, updates, and process improvements related to ITAM systems and workflows.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of asset metrics, compliance status, and operational performance.
- Support audits, contract compliance reviews, and reporting related to software licenses, warranties, and service agreements.
Training & Education
- Ensure staff and stakeholders understand ITAM standards, policies, and processes.
- Lead or coordinate training efforts to improve awareness and adoption of asset management practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience OR
- One year of experience for each year of education if no degree OR
- Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience OR
- High School Diploma or GED and 9+ years of relevant experience
Valued Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading IT asset management staff or operational teams.
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITAM and ITSM tools.
- Software and hardware asset management experience.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on work with supervisory responsibilities.
- Relevant certifications such as ITILv3, CITAM, CSAM, or CHAMP.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Work is typically performed in an office setting with a climate-controlled setting and exposure to moderate noise level.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- This position requires long periods of sitting and daily use of computer and phones.
- Applicants must be willing to perform all job-related travel associated with this position.
- Occasional travel may be required.
