SUMMARY:

The Buyer II (Direct/GMP or Indirect)  is responsible for providing tactical support to the Supply Chain Management operations across all business locations or other Indirect business functions such as Engineering, Facilities, IT, Marketing etc. This position supports the development and execution of manufacturing inventory plans or business plans that achieve optimal customer delivery performance while minimizing total inventory investment and logistics cost or other business costs. This position partners cross functionally to support business growth, improve customer service, and reduce costs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:

- Provides tactical support to Supply Chain Management operations.
- Negotiates pricing and contract terms with suppliers to reduce business risk and provide favorable commercial outcomes.
- For GMP, evaluates current inventory and material lead times, including analysis of delivery conditions, to ensure that the materials will be available for corresponding activities.
- Monitors purchasing systems and procedures and ensures compliance to company authorizations, policies, and procedures with respect to the purchasing function.
- Researches suppliers, pricing, cost effectiveness, and availability of material and commodities.
- Establishes and maintains vendor relationships and monitors suppliers OTIF.
- Identifies and resolves purchasing related issues for materials and manages suppliers associated with respective commodities.
- Utilizes and assists with implementation of systems (ERP, etc.) to help drive automation/continuous improvement programs.
- Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices.
- Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
- Embodies Aji Bio-Pharma’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline or equivalent experience required. Working towards membership of professional body such as ISM, APICs or CIPS.
- Three to four (3-4) years of related experience, including a minimum of 1-2 years in a GMP environment.
- Strategic thinker, able to articulate a clear vision and align the Procurement & Planning strategy to business objectives.
- Proven ability to effectively negotiate with suppliers to achieve desired commercial outcomes for the organization.
- Able to work in an orderly and methodical fashion to solve problems.
- Working knowledge of planning (MRP) and or E-Procurement systems and Source to Pay Process.

The hiring rate for this position is $76,000 - $85,500 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
