About this role
We're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own the positioning strategy for a defined segment of the general contractor market. At Procore, Product Marketing sits inside the product organization as a full peer to Product Management and Design, and Product Marketing is expected to bring market evidence to influence what gets built. To be successful in this role, you bring a point of view before anyone asks for one, your content shows up in live deals, and you can point to a roadmap, positioning, or packaging decision that changed because of your win/loss work.
The construction vertical is ripe for technological innovation. Construction impacts the lives of nearly everyone in the world, and yet it's one of the least digitized industries. Procore is leading the market with our SaaS construction platform. We build for real people with real experiences, empowering Groundbreakers to develop and transform the communities we all live in.
This position reports into the Director of Product Marketing, General Contractors, and will be based in our Austin, TX office, with remote candidates considered. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you'll do
- Own the business metric for an assigned segment of the general contractor market, and report on it proactively
- Own the positioning strategy for your market, and measure field adoption, message reception in calls, and win rate against competitors
- Run the go-to-market side of betas and Tier 1 and Tier 2 launches in your segment, thinking backward from how general contractors will hear and buy the thing while it's still being built
- Keep a complete, current artifact portfolio for [segment] across the full revenue lifecycle, covering what sellers and SEs need to win new business and what customers, AMs, and CSEs need to retain and expand it
- Participate in 10+ customer engagements a week with general contractors, and surface market signal that changes at least one roadmap or positioning conversation a quarter
- Build repeatable AI workflows for your segment across call mining, competitive monitoring, and content generation, and hold the quality bar on everything they produce
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of product marketing or equivalent experience in enterprise SaaS, or comparable experience in the construction industry, with direct experience marketing to general contractors strongly preferred
- Evidence of owning positioning strategy rather than executing it, including a change you made and the in-market result you measured
- Fluency handling objections against Autodesk, Trimble ProjectSight, and the point solutions that show up in your segment, and a habit of building competitive knowledge from live deals
- Repeatable AI workflows you've built and can demonstrate, along with a clear account of how you catch and kill AI-generated errors before they ship
- Excellent listening and communication skills; product marketing is equally about inquiring as it is advocating
