Our national multifamily property management company seeks an experienced Leasing Associate with a Whatever It Takes attitude to support a lease-up community in South Austin near Slaughter Lane. This individual will play a key role in driving occupancy, generating leasing traffic, executing marketing initiatives, and delivering an exceptional customer experience during the lease-up process.
The ideal candidate is an outgoing, sales-driven professional with at least one year of recent apartment leasing experience , strong customer service skills, and the ability to leverage social media and content creation to attract prospective residents. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, building relationships, and helping establish the community's presence in the local market.
Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are strongly preferred.
Job Summary
The Leasing Associate is responsible for achieving occupancy and leasing goals through effective sales techniques, marketing initiatives, prospect follow-up, and positive resident relations. This position requires an understanding of lease-up operations, proactive outreach, and the ability to create engaging digital content that generates interest and drives traffic to the community.

Community Manager, Assistant Community Manager, and/or Regional Property Supervisor.

Essential Functions
Leasing and Sales
- Perform all sales and leasing activities, including greeting and qualifying prospects, conducting property tours, showcasing amenities, following up with leads, and closing leases.
- Support lease-up objectives by actively generating traffic, converting prospects into applicants, and helping achieve occupancy goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the prospect journey, application process, move-in experience, and resident interactions.
- Ensure applications, leases, move-ins, renewals, and move-outs are completed accurately and according to company policies.
- Record all telephone, internet, and in-person traffic in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of apartment availability, pricing, lease terms, and community amenities.
- Ensure the property, model units, and tour routes meet company standards. Communicate maintenance and presentation needs to the appropriate team members.
Marketing, Social Media, and Content Creation
- Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies designed to increase visibility, generate leads, and drive leasing traffic.
- Create, post, and maintain engaging social media content to promote the community, available apartment homes, amenities, events, and special offers.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of social media platforms and basic content creation, including photos, short-form videos, captions, and promotional posts.
- Support digital marketing efforts by identifying opportunities to increase online engagement and attract prospective residents.
- Utilize online marketing platforms, including Craigslist, Google, and other relevant search engines or listing sites.
- Design or assist with creating marketing flyers, newsletters, digital advertisements, and resident communications.
- Conduct outreach marketing and maintain accurate records of marketing activities and lead sources.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, concessions, and occupancy conditions. Prepare market surveys as needed.
- Participate in community events and promotional activities that support lease-up goals and strengthen local awareness.
Resident Relations and Administration
- Build and maintain positive relationships with prospective residents, current residents, clients, and vendors.
- Respond to inquiries and concerns professionally, promptly, and courteously.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative tasks in accordance with company standards.
- Utilize property management software to track apartment availability, prospect activity, applications, and leasing performance.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, Fair Housing requirements, and applicable housing regulations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of recent apartment leasing experience required.
- Previous experience supporting a lease-up community or newly developed multifamily property is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in sales, marketing, or a customer-facing role is beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience using social media for business, marketing, or promotional purposes is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to apply sales techniques, generate leads, qualify prospects, conduct presentations, follow up effectively, and close leases.
- Basic understanding of social media marketing and content creation, including the ability to create and publish engaging posts.
- Comfortable taking photos and videos, writing captions, and promoting a community online.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively when completing documents, explaining lease agreements, and assisting residents.
- Basic mathematical skills to calculate prorated rent, deposits, and other leasing-related charges.
- Proficiency with property management software, preferably ResMan, and Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing compliance requirements.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
Schedule and Location Requirements
- Must be available to work both Saturdays and Sundays as part of the regular work schedule.
- Must be able to work on-site at a multifamily community in South Austin near Slaughter Lane .
- Must be comfortable working in a goal-oriented, fast-paced lease-up environment where customer service, marketing, and leasing performance are priorities.
