About this role

Kashi Clinical Laboratories (KCL) provides diagnostic testing to hospitals and clinics throughout the world. We are currently seeking a Client Services Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon.

The Client Services Specialist serves as a primary point of contact for KCL clients and supports the day-to-day coordination of client requests. This role handles a high volume of phone calls, emails, and service requests; helps resolve client questions; and works across departments to ensure requests are addressed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients by phone and email.

- Identify client needs, resolve routine questions, and route more complex requests to the appropriate department.

- Coordinate requests related to specimen and testing status, phlebotomy services, reporting, supplies, billing, and other client needs.

- Monitor shared email inboxes and CRM notifications and track assigned requests through resolution.

- Coordinate the shipment and tracking of testing kits, supplies, and related materials, including international shipments as needed.

- Assist with report requests and obtain missing information needed to process samples or complete client requests.

- Scan, upload, and maintain requisition forms and other documentation in LIMS.

- Manage multiple priorities while providing accurate, responsive, and professional service.

- Work collaboratively across departments to support clients and day-to-day laboratory operations.

- Identify opportunities to improve client service processes, communication, and follow-up.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

- Previous experience in customer service, client services, healthcare administration, or a similar service-focused role preferred.

- Healthcare or clinical laboratory experience preferred but not required.

- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.

- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong computer skills and ability to learn systems such as LIMS and CRM platforms.

- Collaborative, approachable, and service-oriented.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer and communicating by phone.

- Ability to perform frequent computer, data-entry, and telephone-based work.

- Ability to occasionally lift and carry packages, testing kits, supplies, and other materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits

Hiring Range: $23.00–$25.00 per hour

Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience and qualifications.
