The Events Coordinator supports the Events & Community Engagement Supervisor and the Development Team in the planning and execution of fundraising, community engagement, donor stewardship, and organizational events. This position handles event logistics, administrative coordination, and day-of activities while working collaboratively with staff, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners to create organized, welcoming, and mission-centered experiences.

 LOCATION:  Hybrid (In-Office in Phoenix + Remote + Community/Networking)
 PAY:   (Starting Range ) $23-$26/hour DOE + Participate in our Scheduled Raise Program
 SCHEDULE:  This is a full-time  position. Anticipated schedule is M-F 8:30am-4:30pm + occasional  early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed,

Duties

Event Planning and Coordination

- Assist the Events & Community Engagement Supervisor   with planning, coordinating and executing fundraising, community, donor, and organizational events.

- Coordinate event logistics, including venues, catering, rentals, supplies, registration, signage, and event materials.

- Maintain event timelines, checklists, calendars, guest lists, and planning documents.

- Communicate event details and logistical needs to vendors, volunteers, sponsors, attendees, and internal staff.

- Support sponsorship fulfillment and help ensure sponsor benefits and recognition are delivered accurately.

- Assist with event registration, program production, guest communications, volunteer assignments, and attendee experience.

- Provide hands-on support during event setup, execution, and breakdown.

- Collaborate with Development and Marketing staff on invitations, promotional materials, signage, and event communications.

- Track event expenses, attendance, sponsorship information, and other event-related data.

- Assist with post-event activities, including acknowledgments, surveys, documentation, and reporting.

- Assist with 3rd party fundraising, awareness and outreach events by coordinating with outside entities.

- Assist with purchasing, tracking, and maintaining event merchandise, promotional items, and outreach materials. Manage inventory and merchandise storage areas.

- Prepare and pack materials and supplies for community outreach and third-party events.

- Perform other event-related duties as assigned by the Events & Community Engagement Supervisor.

Communications

- Assist with social media monitoring related to event activities.

- Assist with obtaining photos, videos, quotes, stories and other event-related items.

Experience & Qualifications

- H.S Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- At least 1 year of professional event planning experience (preferably at a nonprofit)
- Fundraising experience a plus
- Must have the flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed
- Must be able to travel throughout Maricopa County as needed for job-related duties
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook + popular social media channels + other online systems/databases
- Successfully pass a fingerprint clearance check and other related hiring requirements
