About this role

Standard Job Description

Join the Operations Systems & Modeling (OSM) organization as an Applications Engineer - Level 3 supporting two of Aeronautics' most strategic digital transformation initiatives: MES Acceleration (MESA) and 1LMX. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering the Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES) — the platform that connects engineering, planning, and the shop floor to enable next-generation aircraft production.

What You Will Be Doing

You will work at the intersection of manufacturing operations and enterprise IT, partnering with shop floor operators, manufacturing engineers, IT architects, and functional core process owners to configure, deploy, test, and sustain MES capabilities that directly impact how aircraft are built. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape how digital manufacturing is delivered across the Aeronautics enterprise.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Gather and analyze information on product capabilities and competing solutions to inform system design.
* Partner with shop‑floor operators, manufacturing engineers, IT architects, and process owners to configure and deploy MES features.
* Develop, execute, and document test scripts for functional, regression, and user‑acceptance testing of MES releases.
* Provide day‑to‑day sustainment support, triage production‑impacting issues, and communicate resolutions to stakeholders.
* Prepare equipment analyses and present technical proposals to sales and customer teams as needed.
