Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as a Program Manager within the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Domestic Hardware & Services Business Area in Huntsville, AL. IBCS, which integrates disparate sensors and effectors, is the centerpiece of the US Army’s modernization of air and missile defense.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will report directly to IBCS business area leadership and be responsible for cost, schedule, technical and contractual performance across a complex portfolio of engineering services, lab infrastructure, logistics, and sustainment activities. The role requires integration across evolving hardware and software baselines, multiple contract vehicles, and interdependent development and production programs. The Senior Program Manager will establish executable plans, identify and manage cross-program dependencies, control risk, and ensure engineering change, lab readiness, and logistics services support customer and business commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Own end-to-end execution of a complex portfolio of engineering services, lab infrastructure, logistics, and related program activities
- Manage dependencies across the portfolio for engineering development, lab definition and build-out, hardware production, fielding, and sustainment to ensure changes to product configurations are understood, planned, and executable across the portfolio
- Establish disciplined programmatic control of engineering change, including assessment of technical, cost, schedule, contractual and downstream production impacts before commitments are made
- Lead post-delivery issue resolution activities for the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) program, driving cross-functional containment, root cause identification, corrective action implementation, and ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into production and future product baselines
- Drive lab infrastructure planning to ensure required development, integration and test environments are available in support of current and future product configurations and software releases
- Lead logistics and sustainment execution, including sparing, Government Furnished Equipment/Property management, fielding support & training, and other associated requirements
- Build strong customer relationships based on transparency, disciplined execution and clear communication of risks, dependencies and tradeoffs
- Serve as a key leader in requirements definition, proposal development, contract negotiations and change management
- Maintain direct awareness of execution across subordinate programs and proactively remove barriers, resolve cross-program conflicts and drive closure of critical issues
- Forecast and achieve financial performance objectives across the portfolio while maintaining appropriate contractual scope discipline
- Prepare and present executive level briefings to internal and external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of program management leadership experience OR Master's degree with 6 years of program management experience OR 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Experience leading complex development, engineering services, production, logistics, sustainment, or other technically complex programs with direct ownership of cost, schedule, and technical requirements
- Experience operating within a cross-functional execution environment
- Experience managing cost type contracts and applying programmatic and contractual discipline in environments with evolving requirements
- Experience managing program(s) using financial management and reporting tools (Earned Value Management, Risk & Opportunity Management)
- Experience managing customer facing execution
- Active Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing transition of complex systems through development, production, fielding and sustainment
- Experience integrating hardware and software development activities across multiple contracts or organizational boundaries
- Experience planning and executing lab, integration, test, or other technical infrastructure
- Program leadership experience with an Integrated Product Team (IPT) focused execution framework
- Experience with logistics, sustainment, GFE/GFP management and lifecycle support
- Leadership of large-scale proposal development and contract change efforts
- Experience leading complex programs with multifaceted scope inclusive of production, fielding, and sustainment Familiarity with command and control systems and air and missile defense Experience working with the US Army Program management experience on an ACAT-1 program

Primary Level Salary Range: $184,300.00 - $276,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
