A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for an Offensive Security Tester reporting to Manager Ethical Hacking
A bit about your role
This role is responsible for delivering offensive security and technical assurance activities that strengthen nbn’s cyber security posture through penetration testing, threat simulation, red and purple team engagements, and security assessments across a range of technologies and environments. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to plan, execute, and communicate testing outcomes, providing clear, actionable insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, along with a commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and professional development. It also contributes to team capability growth through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing with interns and graduate testers.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in offensive security, penetration testing, and security assurance within complex enterprise environments. They will have the ability to plan, execute, and communicate technical security assessments to a range of stakeholders, while balancing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes. The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, along with experience in security frameworks, testing methodologies, automation, and emerging technologies. The candidate at a minimum will have industry recognised offensive security certifications from Offsec, HTB or SANS. The successful candidate will be collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning, with the ability to mentor others, build strong relationships, navigate ambiguity, and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
