How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

As a Principal level quality assurance Engineer you will work with a variety of technologies with the team to innovate, design, develop and maintain quality assurance tools for Aurora Networks Service Assurance software products and systems. Your primary focus will include designing tests, determining what should be automated and how, automating tests, and orchestrating scalable automation test suites:

- Working with product management to clarify requirements and create work breakdown, estimates and commitment to meet deadlines and deliverables.

- Design and implement test cases for ServAssure products to ensure thorough system testing. Generate and maintain test reports.

- Design, develop, and maintain API-based, functional, and end-to-end automation for large-scale distributed systems.

- Develop software Deployment & Orchestration tools, Deploy applications via automation with configuration management tools, and orchestrate reliable execution of automated test suites.

- Ensuring quality of the applications through continuous integration and testing.

- Develop scripts to automate software configurations and performance monitoring

- Work hands-on in a product or equipment lab by connecting hardware, setting up test environments, and performing basic network configuration.

- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

- Contributing to organization culture, disciplines, process & tools

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

- Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of work experience as a SQA Engineer or similar software engineering role

- Experience with design, development of automation tools for large scale distributed applications, with strong judgment on what to automate, how to automate it, and how to build maintainable automation frameworks.

- Experience defining test plans, test cases, regression strategies, and release readiness criteria with excellent leadership, communication, collaboration skills

- Solid knowledge of shell scripts, Python, Perl, Java, REST API integration testing, and TestNG.

- Exposure to Telecom / Cable / PON network management applications and the ability to apply that domain knowledge in system and lab-based testing.

- Extensive experience with Linux operating system and network protocols, including Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, gNMI

- Experience using Ansible, Docker, SQL and NoSQL databases

- Experience with DevOps-aligned QA workflows, CI/CD pipelines in agile development environment, test management tools like Zephyr, Jira.

- Experience preparing release quality reports and communicating test status, risk, and readiness to stakeholders.

- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and deploying containerized applications.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills with the ability to debug failures across UI, API, and environment layers.

- Strong test-design and automation fundamentals, with the flexibility to work across tools and select the right approach rather than relying on one specific framework.

- Willingness and ability to combine deep automation work with hands-on lab activities involving equipment and basic network setup.

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

- Define and enforce best practices for test automation, defect triage, root-cause analysis and quality gates.

- Experience with software security and vulnerability scans

- Exposure in Cable, Telecom, RF domain working with Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS), Cable Modem (CM) and model RF impairments.

- Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and BrowserStack

- Hands-on experience with Playwright for modern web UI test automation

- Strong systems background with ability to build and maintain Linux virtual machines.

- Ability to support light day-to-day DevOps activities in Linux-based development and test environments.

- Exposure to cloud native architecture and hands on experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud deployments.

- Ability to mentor and guide junior QA engineers and collaborate effectively with developers
