The Position
We are looking for a Finance Excellence Partner (FxP) to support finance excellence initiatives at both Middle East & Africa (MEA) sub-regional and local affiliate level. The role contributes to the Finance Excellence Chapter (FxC) by driving standardization, digitalization, and continuous improvement across finance processes.
As an FxP, you will collaborate closely with Finance Enterprise Partners (FEPs), Roche Shared Services (RSS), and local stakeholders to ensure reliable financial reporting, planning, financial master data quality, and efficient month-end processes. You will also support the adoption of digital and AI initiatives, self-service reporting (e.g. Tableau), and automation to enhance financial insights and customer satisfaction.
This opportunity supports business continuity and enables scalable finance operations aligned with Roche’s Finance ambitions.
Your Impact
- Being the affiliate liaison to various stakeholders across the global Roche finance environment (e.g. eCoE, RSS, etc.).
- Proactively providing and driving local affiliate adoption of developed, automated and enhanced standard global management reporting solutions to support business operations and needs.
- Ensuring information flow, cooperating with local Finance Enterprise Partners and searching for common solutions of Finance backbone operations in order to increase customer satisfaction and optimize internal procedures.
- Monitoring of all finance processes to assure financial compliance, including ensuring implementation of ICFR controls by designated control owners.
- Identifying and analyzing process inefficiencies and driving continuous improvements through standardized processes across the Middle East & Africa sub-regions.
- Coordinating and setting the process, timeline and clarity of the deliverables of the annual budget processes for the local and sub-regional organizations.
- Planning the annual OPEX budget, as well as tracking and analyzing the actual performance against budget, forecasts and KPIs.
- Providing proactive support in cleaning and aligning financial master data in collaboration
with master data owners.
- Leveraging technology and automation to drive digitalization as well as exploring and applying new technologies and tools in the fields of automation and AI.
- Driving the transition of affiliate focused finance operations towards an above affiliate level in line with our Finance ambitions.
- Being an active team member of MEA Finance Excellence Chapter (FxC) by contributing and performing activities and projects on above affiliate level.
- Being part of an above affiliate back-up plan in Middle East & Africa sub-regions to ensure business continuity.
- Being an Expert in dedicated Roche’s processes, systems and tools and Finance Excellence Partners tasks, by supporting the rest of the MEA FxP Chapter with consultancy, troubleshooting, defining best practices and providing continuous learnings.
- Participating in squads and cross-chapter teams to address high-priority projects with end-to-end responsibility.
Who you are:
- 7+ years’ working experience and solid understanding of management and financial
accounting as well as affiliate finance. SAICA not mandatory but highly preferred
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to work across Affiliates, subregions and regions - working E2E in a networked
environment with an enterprise perspective.
- Customer orientation, analytical skills, proactivity, and adaptability to change.
- Good business understanding to best drive innovation and performance.
- Possess advanced controlling and reporting skills and expertly manage system landscape used by affiliates incl. BI tool know-how (e.g. Tableau).
- Strong SAP and Microsoft office knowledge (in particular Excel)
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated experience with agile ways of working
