Role Summary
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Good experience with Linux/Ubuntu server administration.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS certificates, TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, VP N, LAN/WAN and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with Hyper-V virtualization environments.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Sophos, Fortinet, or similar firewalls.
- Exposure to disaster recovery, high availability
- Hands-on experience with Veeam enterprise backup solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Good knowledge of firewall administration and security concepts.
- Experience with server monitoring and capacity management.
- Troubleshooting experience in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux production servers.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, user accounts and access controls.
- Perform server hardening, patch management, upgrades, and security remediation.
- Manage and troubleshoot Hyper-V virtualization environments.
- Monitor server performance, availability, capacity, and system health.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery infrastructure, including backup monitoring and restoration testing.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, including users, licenses, mailboxes, security and access policies.
- Manage and troubleshoot firewalls, VPN, LAN/WAN, routing, VLANs and network connectivity.
- Work with security and infrastructure teams on endpoint/server security and access-control policies.
- Manage SSL certificates, server services, DNS records and related infrastructure components.
- Support web/application infrastructure, including Plesk/cPanel, web servers and database connectivity where required.
- Manage AWS/Azure infrastructure and coordinate with cloud service providers.
- Troubleshoot critical production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
- Plan and execute server migrations, upgrades, infrastructure changes and technology refresh projects.
- Implement and maintain IT security best practices and infrastructure policies.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, network/server diagrams, SOPs and asset records.
- Coordinate with application teams, vendors, ISP/cloud providers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure availability, performance, security and reliability of IT infrastructure.
