Description

Join Amazon as a Sustainability Electrical Engineer and help scale our electrification transformation across Europe's last-mile and middle-mile delivery network. You'll design and implement electrical standards that enable our fleet to transition to zero-emission vehicles, directly contributing to our commitment to reach net-zero carbon by 2040.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure installation capacity, quality of commissioning, and effective coordination with health and safety and operations teams on-site
- Validate electrical designs to confirm that teams are adhering to electrical standards during the installation of electrical equipment and EV charging infrastructure
- Align stakeholder expectations by defining and communicating electrical standards for equipment that improves carbon footprint and supports adoption of new tools and processes across EU delivery stations
- Monitor cost control and financial performance while maintaining focus on installation reliability and program outcomes
- Report progress to leadership on program and project milestones, ensuring accurate tracking of deliverables and outcomes

A day in the life
As a Sustainability Electrical Engineer, you'll engage with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization to drive decisions that impact our entire delivery station network. Your day might include collaborating with Operations, Process Improvement, Health and Safety, Finance, and Procurement teams to design and deploy new EV charging infrastructure and electrical equipment into delivery stations. You'll validate electrical designs to ensure teams are meeting our standards during installation, coordinate with external vendors on commissioning quality, and provide regular updates to leadership on program progress. You'll work in a cooperative environment where colleagues share a commitment to making Amazon a global reference for sustainability.

About the team
We are EU AMZL Sustainability Engineering, responsible for defining and continuously improving electrical standards for EV charging networks and smart grid solutions. Our team partners closely with Global Fleet, Field Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams to ensure reliable design while maintaining cost efficiency—we believe that resource optimization is essential to meaningful sustainability impact. The scale of Amazon's last-mile network means we establish partnerships across the organization to translate plans into installations that reduce our carbon footprint. You'll be part of a group dedicated to building the infrastructure that enables our electrification mission.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience in planning, scheduling and auditing maintenance activities
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge about process quality management and or infrastructure commissioning

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
- Experience working with and managing third party vendors
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
- Experience in electrical systems design or infrastructure deployment
