As the Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Marketing , you will lead the development and execution of tailored sourcing strategies across a dynamic multi-billing-dollar Marketing portfolio , spanning Print, Retail/Store Execution, Merchandise, Research, and Digital. You will leverage enterprise-wide relationships and specialized agency cost models to maximize commercial value, optimize speed-to-market, and elevate customer experience.
What you will be doing:
In this role, you will drive the end-to-end sourcing process—from analyzing complex marketing spend and benchmarking industry rate cards, to executing competitive RFXs, negotiating high-impact contracts (SOWs, MSAs, and DPO90 working capital terms), and managing key vendor performance. By creating forward-thinking sourcing strategies that deliver top-tier creative, technical, and production services at the right price, speed, and quality, you will directly safeguard campaign execution while mitigating commercial risk.
Working in the Marketing category (including Creative, Comms, MarTech, Print) and combining Verizon’s scale with your deep marketing category expertise, you will shape high-value marketing partnerships and play a critical role in amplifying a world-class Sourcing organization.
What we’re looking for…
- Marketing Category Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the landscape and cost drivers across key sub-categories, including Creative, Communications, Marketing Technology (MarTech), and Print.
- Agency & Supplier Sourcing: Experience evaluating, selecting, and managing relationships with external ad agencies, vendors, and specialized marketing service providers.
- Commercial Contracting for Marketing: Ability to independently draft and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Services Agreements, and amendments tailored to marketing deliverables and agency relationships.
- Marketing Spend & Value Optimization: Ability to ensure high quality and optimal purchasing power through utilization of industry cost models, bid analysis, and total cost of ownership evaluations.
- Developing, managing and leading the cross-functional teams (CFT): Leading negotiations on the contract terms with the suppliers and executing the contract in liaison with the Legal and Contract Management Team that bring in the best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
- Executing supplier relationship management activities in Marketing, with oversight regarding supplier relationship management.

You'll Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree and relevant working experience.
- Willingness to continuously learn new tools, solutions, and emerging technologies.
- To be considered for this role, applicants must already hold a valid right to work in Ireland. We are currently unable to support employment permit sponsorship.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Master's degree.
- Experience in Strategic Sourcing, and even better if it is in Marketing (ad agency or in-house, or sourcing marketing).
- Certifications in CPSM/CPM/CIPS/CSCP.
- Ability to draft the Statement of works/Master agreements/Amendments independently.
- Experience in Ariba, SAP, Google Suite & Microsoft Suite applications.
- Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills.
- A collaborative approach to problem solving and excellent communication skills.
