As a Business Analyst Transaction & Position Management (TPM) within Business Area Markets , you will play a key role in making that happen. Working at the heart of the energy value chain, you'll connect trading activities, operational processes, settlements, data and technology. Through analysis, process improvement and automation, you'll help transform complex market activities into reliable, scalable and controlled business processes.

This is an opportunity to help shape the future operating model of TPM, supporting the transition from operational execution towards scalable control , exception management and process ownership and  in a fast-changing energy market.

You will join the Transaction & Position Management (TPM) team within Business Area Markets .

TPM sits in the midst of the energy value chain, connecting commercial activities, energy markets, operational processes, financial settlements and IT systems. The team ensures that complex energy market activities are translated into reliable, scalable and controlled business processes.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Trading, Portfolio Management, Forecasting, Risk, Finance, Operations and IT. Working in a highly interconnected environment, you will gain exposure to a broad range of energy market processes, systems and business challenges.

Your Responsibilities
As Business Analyst TPM, you will:

- Analyse portfolio positions, allocations, settlements, forecasts and other energy market related data.
- Identify operational risks, process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities across end-to-end processes.
- Perform root cause analyses and coordinate the implementation of sustainable solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for process and system improvements.
- Support projects related to new products, regulatory changes, market developments and operational improvements.
- Participate in solution design, testing and implementation of business and system changes.
- Collaborate closely with Trading, Portfolio Management, Forecasting, Risk, Finance, Operations and IT teams.
- Improve data quality, process controls and operational governance.
- Contribute to automation, standardisation and scalability initiatives within TPM.
- Support a stable and efficient operation while continuously challenging existing ways of working and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

Who are you?
We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding how complex business processes work and is motivated to improve them.

You bring:

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Management or a related field.
- Experience in business analysis, process improvement or operational environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Affinity with energy markets, commodity trading, financial processes or complex value chains.
- Experience working with data and analytical tools such as Excel.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL and/or Python is considered an advantage.
- Experience defining business requirements and supporting testing activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to bridge the gap between business, operations and technology.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to take ownership in a dynamic environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for opportunities to enhance processes and performance.

Additional Information

Our offer 
The height of your salary is based on your education and relevant work experience. The salary for this position ranges from € 4.750,- to € 5.800,-gross per month, excluding holiday allowance, based on 38 hours per week. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive secondary benefits package, the most important components of which are:

- Based on your annual salary: 8% holiday allowance,  4,5% end of year bonus and a profit sharing of up to 3.5% based on the results of Vattenfall Netherlands (RDR).
- NS Business card for commuting or a travel allowance of €0.23 per km up to a maximum of 50 km one way and a home office contribution of €3,05 per day
- 20 statutory vacation days, 5 additional days through My Budget My Choice, 2 extra non-statutory days from up to scale 9 (not eligible for overtime), 3.5 vitality days, and if you work a 40-hour week on a 38-hour contract, 13 extra ADV days.
- My Budget My Choice budget, which allows you to purchase or sell extra vacation days, buy a e-bicycle, or simply receive it as additional pay.
- Pensionplan at ABP: 70% by employer and 30% by you
- Collective health insurance by Zilveren Kruis Achmea.
- 4 hours of leave to perform volunteering work through the Vattenfall Foundation
- A personal education budget, because we believe it is important that you can continue to develop yourself.
