Organizational Context and Scope
Working under the overall supervision of the Resource Management Officer and under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Officer and in collaboration with relevant units at Headquarters and Administrative Centers the Senior Human Resources Associate will be responsible and accountable for managing the Human Resources Officer’s guidance the Human Resources functions in, Chad.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management or related field with five years of relevant professional experience; or,
- High School diploma with seven years of relevant experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in Human Resources Management for seven years
- Demonstrated experience managing human resource teams, and monitoring activities advantageous
- Demonstrated experience in payroll, recruitment performance management and grievance handling is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to work with ERP systems, preferable Oracle based.
- Previous experience in the United Nations and International NGOs are highly advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook; previous experience in SAP is a distinct advantage;
- Attention to detail, ability to organise paperwork in a methodical way;
- Discreet, details and clients-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things; and,
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organisations, non-government or government institutions/organisation in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
