About this role

To effectively and efficiently carryout all duties associated with the operation and manning of the weighbridge and truck movements.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities / Key Tasks:
- Weighing in and out of materials and recording all necessary information for invoicing.
- Directing goods inwards to correct stockpile/location
- Control the entry to site of all customers, lorries and visitors
- Record time of despatch and return of trucks bringing raw materials to site
- Control stocks of stationery, required for the overall functioning of the weighbridge department
- Ensure the general working of the weighbridge area, including the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and workstations.
- Direct emergency personnel to area on site where required if need arises
- Producing hire dockets and excel files monitoring truck earnings/performance

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Key Skills, Education & Experience:
- Excellent communication skills including oral communication, especially for telephone contact with customers on the telephone as well as in person with delivery personnel and drivers.
- Organised and analytical in order to successfully operate the Weighbridge computer package
- Confidence and Interpersonal skills are important in order to deal with the diverse range of contacts. Previous experience in this type of role would be a distinct advantage.
- Good numeracy skills are required for quick and accurate data processing.
