We are looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join our team at Fairbanks, Dover Fueling Solutions on a full time, permanent basis.
What we do:
For over 20 years, Fairbanks Environmental who are part of Dover Fueling Solutions, have been providing superior fuel management and forecourt services to the fuel market. Our services help to ensure legal compliance and protect the environment by detecting fuel leaks and preventing contamination.
What you will be doing:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our team in Skelmersdale on a full-time permanent basis. The Management Accountant will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate and insightful financial information to support effective decision making across the business and support with the following:
- Lead monthly management accounts preparation, including profit and loss, balance sheet, variance analysis and month end close reporting
- Act as a trusted advisor to operational teams, providing financial insight and challenge to support decision making
- Balance sheet review and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
- Support the forecasting, budgeting and working capital optimisation process
- Support audit, year end and compliance activities including MSS/SAO/STBV/PSA
- Complete expenses review and posting
- Support cash management and reporting
- Support VAT and tax reporting
- Manage general ledger activities, journal postings, intercompany monitoring and fixed asset reporting.
- AP transactional posting analysis and reporting
- AR set-ups, transactional posting of sales invoices, analysis and reporting.
- Create or improve operational efficiencies by process improvement and automation.

The Successful Candidate will:
- AAT Qualified and or studying towards CIMA, ACCA or QBE accountancy qualification
- Experience of management accounts preparation
- Experience in financial forecasting
- Experience providing sound financial guidance to aid decision making
- Have an innovative and proactive approach to problem solving and ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to drive continuous improvement
- Strong excel skills
- Experience building strong relationships with stakeholders and third parties to ensure the most effective outcomes are delivered.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics BC and experience working in a Group setting is desirable but not essential
