About the role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead floor planning activities for store refits and new store development projects across Central Europe, ensuring optimal use of space, product range and merchandising principles.
- Develop and maintain floor plans that reflect the latest category resets, customer flows, adjacencies and retail trends to maximize sales density and customer satisfaction.
- Create and recommend floor planning layouts aligned with retail design standards while minimizing store disruption and project costs.
- Lead pre-approval floor planning meetings, facilitating discussions and identifying opportunities to improve layouts in line with business principles and category requirements.
- Present and gain approval for merchandising and floor layout proposals from Operations Directors and Format Managers.
- Collaborate closely with Blueprint and Planning teams to ensure high-quality data inputs and effective space planning strategies.
- Drive customer-focused space planning decisions based on future business opportunities and customer needs rather than historical layouts.
- Participate in business projects and provide expertise on all space and floor planning related initiatives.
- Support stores by evaluating feedback and proposing floor planning solutions aligned with business strategy.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement through store visits, competitor benchmarking and analysis of retail trends.
- Contribute to business simplification initiatives and recommend solutions that reduce operational complexity.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide floor planning expertise across the business.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- 1-2 years of experience in Space Planning, Floor Planning, Merchandising, Retail Operations or a related field.
- English (Upper-Intermediate, B2).
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience working with planning systems and retail floor planning tools (e.g. JDA or similar).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent collaboration, influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Experience with process management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Good understanding of retail operations and merchandising principles.
- Technical understanding of floor planning and store layout development.
- Experience in retail development projects, store refits or new store openings is an advantage.
