Business unit Gasketed Plate Heat Exchangers (BU GPHE) is a global and world leading manufacturer of gasketed plate heat exchangers. The business and organization cover the complete value chain from Sales and Service, Research & Development, Product management, Marketing and Operations. It is close to € 1 billion in size with main footprints in Sweden, China, India and United States, and with a total workforce of above 1500 employees globally.
About the Role
We are looking for a Systems Lead who will play a pivotal role in developing our systems to support the growth of our gasketed plate heat exchanger business. As a part of a collaborative team, you will take on two key areas:
- Systems Lead: System coordination in New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) projects, implementation of new products in our sales tools, and ensuring system readiness before release.
- Sustainability Data Officer: Responsibility for the business unit’s sustainability tool and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) modeling, supporting our sustainability agenda through structured data management. With a large opportunity to influence the future use of our sustainability data.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Lead
As Systems Lead, you will:
- Coordinate system-related activities in NPD/EPD projects, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration across teams.
- Implement new products in our product configurators, guaranteeing accurate and efficient product data management.
- Ensure products are fully tested and ready for release in our sales tools, maintaining high standards of quality and functionality.
- Manage system project timelines and oversee product release coordination.
- Support users by resolving product and pricing-related issues.
Sustainability Data Officer
As Sustainability Data Officer, you will:
- Take ownership of the business unit’s carbon footprint calculation tool.
- Use SimaPro to build and maintain LCA models, leveraging its robust structure and assumptions for accurate sustainability analysis.
- Collect, validate and analyze, sustainability data across the organization, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and enabling informed decision-making.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sustainability, R&D, IT, sourcing, and other business functions.
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for software improvement to support business growth.

What you know:
- A degree in engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Experience using SimaPro or similar tools.
- At least three years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Experience with gasketed plate heat exchanger products is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Alfa Laval’s IT landscape is a plus, but not essential.
