Introduction to the Team
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.
You will be a part of B2C Central FP&A within Global Finance. We own the numbers behind the B2C business, from plan and forecast to performance reviews, and work directly with senior leadership on the decisions that drive growth. This role puts you at the centre of that work: building the models, shaping the CFO narrative, and turning results into action.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare and communicate financial analysis, forecasts, reports, and management insights that support business decisions.
- Build and maintain financial models, including forecast updates, sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, and financial statement modelling.
- Use financial systems, reporting tools, and data sources to produce accurate analysis and improve the quality and efficiency of reporting processes.
- Review data and analysis in detail, investigate variances, and apply appropriate quality checks before sharing outputs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop meaningful key performance indicators, monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and build trust through clear communication.
Experience and qualifications:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
- You have 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial modelling, or a related area. Candidates with a master’s degree should have 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with financial ERP and EPM systems (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion/Cloud EPM, SmartView), with the ability to extract, reconcile and work with data directly from source.
- You have a solid understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts and can interpret financial results to provide practical insights.
- You have experience preparing forecasts, conducting variance and scenario analysis, and explaining the financial impact of business decisions.
- You are comfortable learning and using financial systems, reporting tools, and data-querying technologies.
- You communicate clearly and adapt your message to the needs of different audiences, including when explaining complex financial or operational information.
- You demonstrate attention to detail, sound judgement, continuous-improvement thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively and autonomously.
This role is based in Bangalore, India, and is a full-time position
