About the role

BridgeAthletic is the training prescription platform behind thousands of strength & conditioning programs from collegiate athletics, pro teams, military, and private performance facilities.

As part of VALD, we're building a closed loop in athlete management, bringing measurement, training prescription, and adaptation closer together.

This role focuses on the day-to-day product experience for the thousands of coaches who use it to program, prescribe, and manage their athletes. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and other designers to take solutions from ideas to shipped features.

In this role, you will

- Design end to end user experiences on web and mobile, from user flows and interactions to UI, edge cases, and empty states.

- Work closely with your Product Manager from the start of a problem, and with Engineering throughout build and QA, making sure the final product meets the design intent.

- Build a strong understanding of how S&C coaches work by spending time with them and seeing how they use the product firsthand.

- Take ownership of work already in progress and form your own view on what should change or improve.

- Bring more consistency to a product that has grown quickly by establishing reusable patterns and components.

- Identify opportunities to use AI tools and automation to accelerate your work.

Is this you?

- 3+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally including B2B SaaS or professional tools.

- A portfolio showing a user-centred approach, strong craft, and clear design rationale from problem to shipped solution.

- Strong visual design sensibility across UI, composition, and interaction design, with the ability to prototype at varying fidelities.

- Strong Figma skills and experience working with component-based design systems.

- Clear, confident communicator, able to present design decisions and build alignment with stakeholders.

- Proven experience in cross-disciplinary teams with PMs and Engineers; strong collaboration is a must.

- Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to turn complexity into clarity.

- Genuine interest in sport, coaching, and human performance.

- Great written and spoken English.

We recognise that not all applicants will have the skills that match a job description exactly. VALD's best asset is not our technology, but our people and culture. We choose people based on how well we think they will work in the VALD team.

If you’re passionate about building impactful products and want to be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.
