Role Overview We are looking for a highly accomplished Power BI & Data Engineering Lead to drive enterprise-scale data transformation, business intelligence modernization, and analytics engineering initiatives. This role demands a strategic leader with deep expertise in Data Engineering, Power BI Architecture, Azure Data Platforms, and modern analytics ecosystems, combined with strong people leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. The ideal candidate will lead high-performing engineering teams, architect scalable and cloud-native data platforms, establish governance frameworks, and deliver actionable business insights that influence strategic decision-making across the organization. The role also requires strong experience in enterprise reporting modernization, KPI-driven analytics, and advanced BI ecosystems integrated with AI-driven analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Analytics professionals.
- Define and execute the enterprise BI and Data Engineering roadmap aligned with organizational goals and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, product owners, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Own delivery governance, execution planning, resource allocation, and operational excellence across BI and Data Engineering initiatives.
- Drive KPI-based execution, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Data Engineering & BI Architecture
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms using Azure cloud technologies.
- Lead enterprise-wide implementation of robust ETL/ELT frameworks, modern data pipelines, and cloud-native analytics solutions.
- Design and optimize enterprise data models supporting advanced analytics, self-service BI, and executive reporting.
- Lead the development and optimization of Power BI dashboards, semantic models, DAX calculations, and enterprise reporting ecosystems.
- Build scalable data integration frameworks leveraging Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, SQL Server, and Data Lake technologies.
- Enable modern analytics architectures integrating Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse patterns, and AI-driven analytics capabilities.
- Drive automation and engineering excellence through CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure optimization.
Governance, Quality & Compliance
- Establish enterprise standards for data governance, metadata management, data quality, and security compliance.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance optimization across enterprise BI and analytics platforms.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and audit frameworks for enterprise reporting and data engineering ecosystems.
- Drive best practices around role-based access control (RBAC), data lineage, compliance, and platform governance.
Innovation & Transformation
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies in Data Engineering, BI modernization, AI-driven analytics, and cloud ecosystems.
- Lead modernization initiatives from legacy reporting systems to modern cloud-native analytics platforms.
- Drive AI-enabled analytics capabilities leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure ML, and intelligent reporting ecosystems.
- Promote reusable frameworks, accelerators, and standardized delivery methodologies across teams.
Required Qualifications Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, and Enterprise Reporting.
- 4+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise engineering or analytics teams.
- Proven experience managing large-scale BI transformation and cloud analytics programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing leadership experience.
