About this role

Keene State College Registrar’s Office invites applications for Senior Program Support Assistant to serve as a key contact for shared assigned areas of responsibility (student record maintenance, oversight of all transcript management etc.) to provide back-up and/or general support for other Registrar’s Office functions and administrative tasks. All staff positions on campus support students and will be involved in student-focused activities.

Duties/Responsibilities

- Registrar Function Support (50%) Serve as a key point person in the Registrar’s Office at the front desk. Registrar function support including drop-in activity from students, faculty, staff, parents, etc. Respond to telephone and email inquiries; forward to appropriate Registrar’s Office personnel as required. Main responsibility to register students includes but not limited to, Undergraduate, Graduate, High School Accelerated, and non-matriculated students. Manage new student migration (“Move to Student”) for the Registrar’s Office. Enrollment verifications, degree verifications and other miscellaneous forms. Declaration of major form processing. Student record maintenance and oversight including student files. Process Schedule Adjustment forms as needed. Substitutions and waivers as needed. Process grade changes as needed. FERPA release as needed.

- Transfer Credit (45%) Transcript management: Including outgoing and incoming review, evaluation, and awarding of transfer credit. Review of non-course credit transfer for course equivalency, including, but not limited to, CLEP, AP, CTE, IB, DSST (Dante), Military, Credit by exam, petition for credit, and Portfolio of Life/Work Experience.

- Other Duties (5%) Administrative tasks including: MRO Submission. Budget Support/Department ordering. Contribute to management of Registrar’s Office SharePoint site. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:

- Associate’s degree and three years of related experience or combination of higher education and related experience equal to five years or high school graduation/equivalent and five years of related experience involving progressive responsible duties requiring discretion and independent judgement.
- Computer-related experience Work must be performed with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail and confidentiality.

Other Requirements:

- Demonstrated attention to detail and a team player as well as skills in customer service, creative problem solving and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Registrar’s Office experience.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with a student information system
- Work experience in college or university environment.

Compensation Pay Range:
$17.57 - $28.96
