Job Summary

The Treasury Operations Senior Analyst, working under minimal supervision, is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the company's cash and investments. This role supports the Treasury Operations department by performing the following: managing the execution of transactional processes, collecting, and reviewing data, posting general journal entries, reconciling accounts, reporting, and administering financial institutional relationships and various ongoing financing and treasury programs. The Senior Analyst partners with Accounting, Tax, Legal, and other internal departments to ensure the timely and accurate execution of treasury activities, appropriate accounting treatment and reporting of financial transactions, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal controls.

The role also serves as a peer mentor to less experienced staff and subject matter expert in the department.

Job Responsibilities

- Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's cash management strategies and policies to optimize cash flow, minimize borrowing costs, and maximize investment returns.
- Leads daily cash management, treasury operations, and related accounting functions, ensuring accurate transaction processing, reconciliation, financial reporting, and compliance with established policies and controls.
- Serves as the lead contact for treasury and accounting matters, providing support and issue resolution, facilitating treasury service changes with banking partners and other internal departments and offering guidance on the accounting, reporting and control requirements of treasury activities.
- Supports month-end cash reconciliation activities and variance resolution. Investigates discrepancies, updates financial records, and communicates with business partners to resolve issues.
- Oversees the daily investment trading settlement activity of multiple legal entities and employee benefit programs; developing, implementing, and performing procedures to calculate and execute various transactions, within limits of authority and/or investment portfolio guidelines.
- Verifies and maintains all purchase, sale, and income information of companies’ investment portfolios to ensure the integrity of the portfolio records and financial reporting.
- Drives improvements to treasury-related systems and procedures by documenting requirements, leading testing efforts, resolving escalated user or data issues, and ensuring alignment with accounting practices, internal controls, and treasury objectives.
- Collaborates with Leader and assists with development and monitoring all processes and controls in the treasury area. Recommends changes and provides continuous improvements to ensure operating and financial controls are of industry best practice standard.
- Enhances cash management policy and process improvements to support efficient treasury operations and regulatory compliance.
- Develops and implements treasury risk management strategies and policies to identify, mitigate, and manage financial risks.
- Stays up to date on changes in financial markets and regulatory requirements that may impact treasury operations and proactively adjust strategies and policies to ensure compliance and optimize performance.

Job Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in Treasury or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and/or commensurate experience.

Location

Hybrid - defined as working three or more days per week in the office

Licenses and Certifications

- Certified Treasury Professionals (CTP) (Preferred)
