As a Rental Operations Coordinator, you will contribute to Wenger Corporations strategy to provide exceptional customer experience by coordinating reliable, efficient rental operations and maintaining a safe, accurate, and customer-ready equipment fleet.

At a minimum, you will need:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Three years of experience in rental operations, warehouse or production operations, or related environment, or equivalent hands-on experience with stage automation equipment.

- Experience using inventory, rental management, ERP, project management, or similar operational software.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn specialized software platforms.

- Ability and willingness to safely move, inspect, and prepare rental equipment in a shop or warehouse environment.

- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel occasionally as required.

- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends based on rental schedules, customer needs, or on-site project requirements.

It would be great if you also have:

- Associate degree or technical training in entertainment technology, technical theater, automation, electrical technology, mechanical systems, logistics, or a related field.

- Practical understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and the ability to diagnose common equipment issues.

- Experience with entertainment rental operations, stage automation systems, theatrical production, entertainment technology, rigging, lighting, sound, or video.

- Experience with rental management software such as Rentman.

- Experience creating technical documentation, training materials, equipment lists, operating procedures, or system diagrams.

- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

- Experience reviewing equipment utilization, supporting lifecycle planning, or preparing capital-equipment recommendations.

A typical day may include:

Rental Operations

- Coordinate and execute the day-to-day operation of the Creative Conners rental program, ensuring rental projects are accurately prepared, delivered, and returned on schedule.

- Partner with Sales, customers, and internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements and develop practical rental solutions using available assets.

- Coordinate the full rental lifecycle, from project planning and equipment reservation through shipment, return, inspection, maintenance, and restocking.

- Prepare, pull, stage, test, configure, pack, ship, receive, inspect, clean, maintain, and return rental equipment.

- Coordinate freight shipments, delivery schedules, and return logistics.Create and maintain system diagrams, equipment lists, operating instructions, and rental documentation.

- Coordinate rental-related activities performed by supporting personnel to help ensure work is accurate and completed on schedule; this responsibility does not include formal supervision.

- Support on-site rental deployments, customer training, troubleshooting, and project coordination as business needs require.

- Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, safety, and professionalism throughout the rental process.

Fleet and Asset Management

- Serve as the primary steward of the rental fleet, maintaining its readiness, organization, condition, availability, and overall performance.

- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, condition, availability, location, and lifecycle status in the rental management platform.

- Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, refurbishment, and replacement activities to keep equipment safe, reliable, and customer-ready.

- Inspect incoming and outgoing equipment for functionality, completeness, cleanliness, damage, and overall condition.

- Monitor fleet utilization, customer demand, equipment condition, and operational needs and recommend fleet expansion, replacement, refurbishment, or retirement.

- Research equipment, technologies, and market developments that may improve fleet capability, reliability, or customer experience.

- Operate within an assigned rental operating budget and established approval levels; prepare purchase recommendations and supporting rationale for larger expenditures.

- Coordinate with Operations, Service, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to support equipment availability and readiness.

Customer Experience

- Provide timely, accurate, and professional communication throughout the rental lifecycle.

- Serve as a primary operational point of contact for rental customers, supporting equipment selection, documentation, logistics, and project execution.

- Provide equipment familiarization, operational guidance, and rental best practices to support successful customer outcomes.

- Build positive customer relationships through responsiveness, attention to detail, technical credibility, and follow-through.

- Support Sales-led rental opportunities with equipment expertise, availability information, documentation, and operational coordination.

- Coordinate rental operations within established pricing and commercial parameters; Sales retains accountability for rental revenue generation, pricing, and commercial negotiations.

Rental Systems, Processes, and Continuous Improvement

- Administer the rental management platform and maintain data accuracy, process compliance, reporting integrity, and effective system use.

- Develop, document, maintain, and improve rental procedures, work instructions, checklists, training resources, and operating standards.

- Track rental-program performance using measures such as fleet readiness, inventory accuracy, equipment utilization, on-time execution, customer feedback, and operational effectiveness.

- Identify and implement improvements that strengthen efficiency, consistency, equipment readiness, safety, and customer experience.

- Evaluate rental workflows, shop organization, storage practices, documentation, and supporting systems and recommend improvements.

- Collaborate across functions to resolve operational issues and support broader organizational objectives.
