Within Thales Global Services , the IS-IT (Information Systems & IT) division delivers reliable IT solutions to support the Group’s key functions, embodied by Value Towers . Among these, the Sales & Marketing and Bid & Project Value Towers have inspired the ABACUS initiative —a solution designed to accelerate the generation of commercial offers for Spares & Repair across the Thales Group. ABACUS enables the accurate and efficient creation of transactional offerings to drive recurring revenue.
To enhance the operational efficiency of ABACUS in production , IS-IT seeks to internalize the required expertise by recruiting an experienced CINCOM CPQ Application Engineer/Senior Developer . As part of the ABACUS Agile Scrum Team (alongside the Scrum Master and Product Owner), your mission will be to take technical ownership of the ABACUS solution, based on CINCOM CPQ (Guru Management Studio) .
Key Responsibilities
As the ABACUS Application Engineer/Senior Developer , you will:
- Develop user stories as specified by the Product Owner, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Conduct unit and component testing and contribute to non-regression testing campaigns to guarantee solution stability.
- Manage versions of the editor solution (core + Thales-specific customizations).
- Deploy the solution as a Service on Thales Cloud environments (Google S3NS).
- Document implementation and configuration of the user stories and technical stories for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Collaborate with vendor (e.g., CINCOM) to gain autonomy and take full ownership over the solution.
- Support continuous improvement of the ABACUS solution, including performance tuning and scalability.
Experience & Soft Skills
- 10+ years of experience in integrating COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) software , ideally with CINCOM CPQ .
- Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to complex technical environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Open-mindedness and cultural agility to thrive in a multicultural environment (Thales operates globally).
- Due to the nature of the work, English skills are required.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in CINCOM CPQ and Guru Management Studio (configuration, customization, and troubleshooting).
- Proficiency in C# on .NET environments (development, debugging and optimization using Visual Studio ).
- SQL Server (query writing, database design, and performance tuning).
- Microsoft PowerShell (scripting for automation, deployment, and system management).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and code quality analysis (GitLab, SonarQube).
- Cloud-based development and deployment (experience with Azure, AWS, or Thales internal cloud is a plus).
- Agile/Scrum methodologies (familiarity with sprint planning, backlog refinement, and collaborative tools like JIRA).
