Scope of Position
This experienced and collaborative leader, as part of the Information Technology team, is responsible for the strategy, architecture, operations, security, and lifecycle management of Watts' global network and communications services. The Senior Manager, Network Services serves as the accountable service owner for reliable, secure, scalable, and high-performing connectivity across corporate offices, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, data centers, and cloud environments worldwide.
This position is responsible for supervision and development of a geographically distributed team supporting network services, as well as oversight of managed service providers, telecommunications carriers, contractors, and technology vendors.
This position reports to VP, IT Infrastructure and Operations. This role is eligible to be remote or based out of Andover, MA.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Own the availability, performance, reliability, security, and continuous improvement of the global enterprise network and communications services across corporate, manufacturing, distribution, data center, and cloud environments.
- Define and maintain the global network and communications strategy, architecture, technology roadmap, standards, and reference designs for LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, cloud connectivity, enterprise voice, and collaboration services.
- Lead network and communications modernization initiatives, including SD-WAN, wireless modernization, network segmentation, cloud connectivity, automation, Microsoft Teams Phone, and retirement of legacy telephony services.
- Ensure appropriate capacity, redundancy, resiliency, disaster recovery, monitoring, documentation, lifecycle management, and support models are in place for business-critical network and communications services.
- Lead response to major network and communications incidents; drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and problem management for recurring or significant service issues.
- Own the global unified communications service, including Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone, enterprise telephony, conferencing, PSTN connectivity, voice routing, and related carrier services; establish standards that support reliable voice, video, and collaboration experiences.
- Partner with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and OT teams to implement secure network architectures, segmentation, access controls, and change-management practices appropriate for corporate and production environments.
- Ensure new locations, acquisitions, expansions, and infrastructure programs follow global network and communications standards, and lead integration or remediation activities where environments require modernization.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Network Services team; establish clear service ownership, technical standards, support coverage, escalation procedures, performance expectations, capability development, and succession plans.
- Manage strategic relationships with Cisco, Microsoft, telecommunications carriers, managed service providers, and other vendors; oversee service performance, contractual SLAs, lifecycle plans, and issue escalation.
- Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets for network and communications services, identifying opportunities to consolidate services, retire legacy technology, improve efficiency, and optimize cost without compromising service quality.
- Establish and monitor service-level metrics and operational KPIs for availability, incident response and resolution, change quality, user experience, vendor performance, lifecycle compliance, and modernization progress; communicate service health, risks, and priorities to technical and business leaders.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Company management.
- Demonstrate Continuous Improvement by standardizing network and communications services, reducing one-off solutions, automating repeatable work, and simplifying or retiring unnecessary legacy technology.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 8+ years of progressively responsible enterprise networking and/or communications experience, including at least 3 years leading network, infrastructure, or unified communications teams.
- Experience supporting geographically distributed enterprise networks across multiple sites and business environments; experience in manufacturing, distribution, or other operational environments is strongly desired.
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including Cisco routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, network management, segmentation, and high-availability architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Teams Phone, along with enterprise voice technologies such as SIP, PSTN connectivity, voice routing, telecommunications carriers, and SBC-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of core network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, VPN, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and network security principles.
- Demonstrated experience managing technology vendors, telecommunications carriers, managed service providers, contracts, and service-level performance.
- Strong incident, problem, change, lifecycle, and service-management experience, including leadership of major incidents and complex infrastructure initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage operating and capital budgets and to balance service availability, user experience, security, cost, and business requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues, risks, and recommendations for business and executive audiences.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent advanced networking certification; Microsoft Teams/Microsoft 365 and/or ITIL certifications are also preferred.
- Experience with Cisco ISE, Catalyst Center, SD-WAN, Secure Firewall, and related monitoring or automation capabilities.
- Experience supporting manufacturing and industrial environments, including secure IT/OT segmentation and production-critical connectivity.
- Experience with Azure networking, Microsoft 365, and network automation using tools such as Python, APIs, Ansible, PowerShell, or infrastructure-as-code technologies.
- Experience integrating network and communications environments following mergers and acquisitions.

Working Conditions
While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in an office location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.

Pay Range
The expected salary range for this position is $170,000 - $191,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
