Job Description:

The Department of Economics at Fairfield University invites applications for a Professor of the Practice position, beginning Fall 2027 and subject to budget approval. The successful candidate will have a four-course teaching load each semester and will primarily teach introductory courses at either the Fairfield and/or Bridgeport campus with the potential to contribute to upper-level field-specific undergraduate courses in economics. Candidate must have either a master’s degree and 5 years work experience in relevant industry, or a PhD in economics. Commitment to innovation and demonstrated excellence in teaching and using technology in the classroom are required. Service to the department, school of business, university, community, and profession is expected.
