Job Summary
Responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting inserter machines ensuring the accuracy
and quality of the produced output, while meeting project deadlines. Assist in operating color and
grayscale production laser printers to include computer operations, preparation, set-up, processing,
output, and quality control.
Essential Functions
Machine & Digital Print Operations
- Operate Mail Insertion Equipment: Set up and run high-speed mail inserters efficiently and accurately according to custom job specifications.
- Process & Print Digital Files: Prepare and process customer-provided electronic files for output on high-volume digital laser printers.
- Manage Printer Functions: Monitor printer settings, maintain print quality, and perform routine equipment adjustments across all digital laser print functions.
Inventory, Logistics & Fulfillment
- Material Handling: Safe operation of manual and electric pallet jacks to maneuver pallets, cages, and bulk print materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory & Postage Control: Track and manage levels of envelopes, paper stock, and mailing supplies while logging and auditing postage expenses accurately.
- Mail Sorting & Routing: Sort and route completed mail pieces through the facility in compliance with specific job orders and distribution workflows.
Compliance, Record-Keeping & Safety
- Production Tracking: Maintain clear and accurate daily production log sheets, tracking output metrics and job completion times.
- Postal Regulation Compliance: Learn and stay updated on USPS and commercial mail regulations (training provided), adapting operational processes to meet evolving standards.
- Workplace Maintenance & Attendance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while demonstrating consistent, punctual attendance.

Qualifications
- Education: High school degree or equivalent.
- Computer Literacy: Comfortable navigating standard computer operating systems, managing electronic files, and quickly learning proprietary print/mail management software.
- Document Comprehension: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and standard procedure manuals.
- Equipment Knowledge & Technical Aptitude: Prior experience operating digital production printers, mail insertion equipment, or pallet jacks is a plus; comfortable troubleshooting basic machinery.
- Organization & Detail: Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail when logging output, managing inventory, and following job specs.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
- Accountability: Strong self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision while meeting high quality standards.
Expected compensation for this role is between $19 - $24/hr, based on qualifications and experience.
