Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Full-time, dayshift Monday - Friday. This role will be a hybrid position - oversees risk management functions for the ambulatory clinics across North Wisconsin in Oshkosh/Fond du lac, Greater Green Bay, Manitowoc, and Marinette.

No relocation and no sponsorship or transfer of visa for this position now or in the future.

Pay Range:
$51.05 - $76.60

Major Responsibilities:

- Proactively manages and coordinates the Risk Management Program at assigned site(s) to align within industry standards and ensure patient safety and quality of care. Site expert and resource for all legal and medical risk subjects.
- Partners with site operational, executive, and medical staff leadership to implement measures and further risk reduction and patient safety objectives. Keeps appropriate management and leadership informed of region and site-based issues; coordinates communication within the site.
- Manages, addresses, and coordinates health outcomes, risk identification, loss prevention, and claims management to support patient care quality and address potential financial, physical, and reputational risks. Identifies high-risk areas and performs proactive risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Participates in site safety meetings and weekly risk huddles.
- Strategizes and oversees the educational needs of the assigned site(s) and identifying content experts and speakers to ensure quality content.
- Oversees site adverse event reporting, investigation, and resolution processes. Reviews and investigates all assigned site(s) incidents and events in collaboration with patient safety, regulatory, quality, claims, legal, compliance, patient relations, and other departments.

Certification / Registration / License:

- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) designation issued by the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS) needs to be obtained within 1 year, or
- Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management designation issued by the American Hospital Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 1 year, or
- Similar license or certification.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field required.

Experience Required:

- Typically requires 5 years of experience in a system healthcare setting, experience with risk management, healthcare law, patient safety and quality.

Preferred Experience:

- Nursing or other clinical knowledge, background, and experience preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

- Demonstrated ability leading collaborative activities, chairing meetings and making presentations to physicians and executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work and function in a complex corporate, system environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds from all disciplines and levels of the organization. Must be comfortable and able to effectively and compassionately communicate with patients, claimants, and family members regarding difficult topics.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Strong ability to manage multiple teams of people and projects simultaneously.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products.
- Demonstrated expertise in statistical/data analysis, data presentation, organizational ability, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to draft comprehensive reports and memos regarding all areas pertaining to the Risk function.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

- Generally exposed to a normal office environment.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job including computer use.
- Exposure to road and weather hazards during job-related trips.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift frequently throughout workday.
- Must be able to walk sufficiently to cover entirety of site/facility.
- Must have clear speech, hearing and vision.
