Here at GXO, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Co-op contract. You will be the leader for the finance teams across multiple sites. You’ll deliver “best in class” clear credible reporting on well understood results to both GXO and the customer. You’ll cover weekly flashes, period reporting, forecasting and budgeting exercises & customer driven projects. You will also provide data that supports operational decision making to key stakeholders in both GXO and the customer
This is a full time, permanent, position working Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00, we do have some flexibility on start and end times and would look for some flexibility from yourself
The current sites you’ll be responsible for our based in Andover, Avonmouth, Lea Green (St.Helens), Thurrock and Wellingborough . Ideally, we would like you to be based in the Midlands to travel to these sites, approximately 3 to 4 days a week with 1 to 2 days working from home or your closest site

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £80,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Ensuring robustness of accounting within GXO and visibility of results to the customer through weekly and period reporting
- Confirm clarity of balance sheets across each area of the contract to present to customer and to satisfy internal SOX requirements
- Weekly and monthly customer reviews and production of periodic/monthly review packs
- Robust annual budgeting & Monthly forecasting
- Lead financial controls regarding Gainshare and Gainshare elements of the contract. Work with the operational team to ensure that maximum is delivered in line with contract
- Ensuring robust controls in place to manage stock accounting
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Fully qualified - CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- Competently demonstrates experience within a similar role with a strong understanding of open book contracts
- Understanding of Transport
- Proven track record in successfully establishing and maintaining effective business relationships with both internal and external customers
- Knowledge of financial management systems
- Experience in the distribution sector or similar in size and complexity highly desirable
- Experience managing challenging stakeholder relationships and managing a team
