About this role

Leads complex deal strategy, pricing decisions, contract review, and execution; partners with Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Legal to optimize commercial operations, drive process improvements, provide deal desk expertise, mentor team members, and support commercial initiatives, pricing programs, and operational governance.

What you will do :

Deal Strategy & Execution

- Evaluate requests and obtain approvals for pricing exceptions, complex discounts, and non-standard deal structures; determine approvable options aligned with company policy.
- Structure and deliver proposals for complex deals, ensuring timely approvals, clear customer positioning, and alignment with business objectives.
- Support Sales at a high service level through the full deal lifecycle, balancing speed, customer needs, and governance.
- Review and prepare contracts and sales documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Sales and Service, Product Business Units, Legal, and Finance to develop deal and pricing strategies.
- Communicate pricing rationale clearly to internal stakeholders, ensuring proposals and contracts are easy to position and understand.
- Partner with Engineering team to design and implement system modifications as needed.
- Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Track Deal Desk activity and performance, identifying trends and opportunities for standardization, cross-pod training, and other process improvements.
- Provide data-driven recommendations on pricing, discounting, and program effectiveness.

Team Leadership & Enablement

- Provide day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and support to Commercial Operations specialists, helping prioritize work and unblock complex deal scenarios.
- Act as the Deal Desk subject matter expert for new commercial initiatives, including pricing strategies, sales programs, and product/pricing pilots, evaluating operational impacts and enabling successful go-to-market execution.
- Reinforce consistent application of pricing policies, processes, and best practices across the team.
- Support onboarding and training initiatives to elevate team capability and ensure high-quality execution.

You need to have :

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in an appropriate combination of 1) sales or marketing, including experience in sales strategy or operations, deal review and pricing negotiation, 2) working with Bloomberg Industry Group or similar products and pricing; consulting experience a plus.
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex deal structuring, pricing strategy, and contract review
- Strong understanding of pricing principles, discounting frameworks, and commercial policy governance
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Product, and Legal teams
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Experience mentoring or guiding team members in a lead or informal leadership capacity
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex pricing and deal concepts to both internal stakeholders and customers
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and data/reporting tools preferred

Compensation Range:
$120,000.00-$150,000.00

Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process. Salary determination will be determined based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills related to the requirements of the role, education, certifications, and geographic location.
