About the role

You'll shape how the People function partners with the business at Beam. Working closely

with leaders, you’ll embed performance across the lifecycle; you'll coach managers

through performance, organisational design, and complex people decisions; build manager

capability; and use people insights to strengthen organisational health. You'll also own

employee relations across the business, ensuring our people practices remain consistent,

pragmatic and scalable as Beam grows.

What you'll do

Business partnering

- Act as the strategic Partner, serving as the embedded People representative.
- Coach managers on team effectiveness and organisational change.
- Use engagement, performance and attrition data to identify risks and opportunities across

Beam.

- Build trusted relationships with leaders and managers, challenging and influencing where

needed.

Manager capability & performance

- Embedding performance across the lifecycle.
- Coach managers in addressing underperformance through probation, performance and

capability conversations.

- Escalate cases into formal ER where required, while feeding recurring themes back to the

Operations Lead to improve underlying processes.

- Work to embed key initiatives across employees.

Employee relations

- Own complex employee relations casework across the business, including investigations,

grievances, disciplinaries and capability processes.

- Coach managers through difficult conversations and ensure issues are managed

consistently and fairly.

- Partner with the Associate Director on high-risk or legally complex matters.
- Maintain robust case documentation and identify themes that require organisational

action.

- Support managers through complex absence cases while ensuring compliance across

jurisdictions.

Engagement

- Translate feedback & results into meaningful action plans.
- Hold leaders accountable for delivering improvements within their teams.
- Partner with the People Associate on the delivery of engagement initiatives to drive

retention

Levelling & organisational design

- Embed Beam’s levelling framework across individual contributor and management career

paths.

- Partner with hiring managers to level new and evolving roles before recruitment.
- Support promotion and organisational design discussions through a levelling lens,

working alongside the Associate Director on compensation decisions.

Functional ownership

- Be the day-to-day advisor for managers across the business on people matters.
- Identify trends across engagement, ER, performance and absence, escalating risks and

recommending improvements.

- Contribute to the ongoing development of Beam's People strategy and manager

capability.
