We’re hiring for a hybrid role. You’ll work on-site with your team several days each week (typically 2–3), with the specific days set by your manager. Because regular in-person collaboration is central to this job, we look for candidates who live within about 50 miles of the office.

Everfox is currently seeking an experienced test engineer to provide technical leadership and architectural expertise to help plan, design, test, and deliver sophisticated products within the Everfox User Access Monitoring (UAM) product suite. A well-qualified candidate will demonstrate strong test engineering expertise combined with advanced knowledge of Generative AI, applying AI tools across development, automation, debugging, quality operations, and productivity workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with product owners and professional services to gather and document integration requirements based on customer environments, leveraging generative AI to accelerate requirements synthesis, pattern extraction, and documentation quality.
- Identify and organize technical resources required for setup and testing of individual products and integrations, using AI powered planning, environment modeling, and gap analysis tools where appropriate.
- Define and author test cases and test scripts for automation tools to provide continual integration of product combinations; use generative AI to draft, optimize, and evolve these test assets for improved coverage and maintainability.
- Execute test scripts and report defects based on product specifications; employ AI assisted log analysis, anomaly detection, triage scoring, and root cause hypothesis generation.
- Collaborate with test and development teams to maintain regression tests, including AI augmented maintenance of regression suites, test impact analysis, and automated identification of stale/duplicate scenarios.
- Analyze test results, confirm and report defects, and identify performance metrics, utilizing AI driven performance analytics, pattern detection, and telemetry summarization.
- Work closely with development to reproduce and resolve issues; apply generative AI tools to generate repro scripts, trace sequences, and synthetic datasets.
- Increase coverage of automated tests through AI generated test scenarios, fuzzing inputs, configuration spaces, and boundary case exploration undefined
Key Experience and Education Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years software engineering experience, preferably with test automation emphasis.
- BS Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Security or equivalent work experience.
- Experience developing test automation tools and frameworks, including hands-on use of generative AI automation accelerators (e.g., AI based code assistants, testcase generators, data synthesizers).
- Extensive programming experience in Python and Linux Shell scripting; ability to integrate AI SDKs, embeddings, model inference APIs, and automation pipelines into Python based tooling.
- Strong software configuration, integration testing, and automation experience; knowledge of integrating model driven workflows into CI/CD and test orchestration systems.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including the ability to articulate AI assisted analysis and communicate responsible use practices aligned with Everfox AI metrics efforts.
- Experience constructing test plans and executing across functional, regression, unit, system performance, stress, and load testing—with demonstrated ability to use generative AI to optimize coverage, generate synthetic workloads, or analyze complex performance
- signatures.Understanding and experience with RedHat Linux and Kubernetes; familiarity with using generative AI to evaluate configurations, deployment artifacts, and cluster diagnostics.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate detailed technical analysis, including AI supported diagnostic summaries, code diff reasoning, and automated root cause correlation across logs, traces, and metrics.
- Willing to obtain Government Security Clearance if needed.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$142,600.00-197,100.00 USD
The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
