The Energy Savings Certificates (ESC) scheme is a regulatory mechanism designed to promote energy efficiency. As an energy supplier, TotalEnergies Electricity and Gas France is subject to regulatory ESC obligations and must monitor and manage its compliance requirements and sourcing volumes.

As part of an ESC team of 6 employees, supported by external consultants, you will work in a dynamic environment characterized by frequent regulatory changes and significant financial and operational challenges. You will interact with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Finance Department, Energy Management, Legal teams, ESC Management, as well as external agents and service providers

In this context, we are looking for an experienced professional capable of driving and ensuring the reliability of the financial and operational performance of the ESC activity , by structuring data, KPIs, reporting tools, and the monitoring of obligations, contracts, and service providers.

As a Senior Energy Savings Certificates Financial Performance & Production Analyst M/F/X, your main responsibilities will include :

Drive and Ensure Reliability of ESC Data and Compliance Monitoring

- Consolidate and ensure the reliability of the various data flows required to manage ESC activities.
- In collaboration with the Finance Department, Energy Management, and ESC Management, prepare ESC compliance obligation forecasts as part of the Long-Term Plan and Budget exercises.
- Monitor ESC obligations based on actual electricity and gas delivery volumes.
- Build, maintain, and ensure the reliability of the ESC balance sheet to monitor alignment between regulatory obligations and forecasted sourcing volumes.
- Contribute to defining the ESC supply cost incorporated into electricity and gas supply offers.

Ensure Financial Performance Management

- Prepare the information required for monthly accounting closings related to ESC activities.
- Reconcile operational data, invoicing data, and accounting records.
- In collaboration with the Finance Department, monitor the budget, working capital requirements, cash flow forecasts, contractual commitments, and P&L.
- Ensure the reliability of financial data and contribute to controlling costs related to ESC activities.

Monitor the Performance of Agents and Service Providers

- Manage the operational relationship with one or more external agents and monitor their production performance.
- Track key performance indicators including commitments, produced and submitted volumes, quality, lead times, invoicing, and outstanding deliveries.
- Participate in monthly operational meetings and steering committees.
- Ensure compliance with contractual commitments and identify any operational, contractual, or financial risks or deviations.
- Propose and monitor appropriate action plans.

Develop Reporting and Performance Management Tools

- Build, maintain, and enhance KPIs used to monitor the financial and operational performance of the activity.
- Structure, standardize, and improve the reliability of data flows.
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, particularly using Excel and Power BI.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tools to strengthen management visibility on commitments, risks, costs, and overall business performance.

Perform Analyses and Support Decision-Making

- Conduct ad hoc studies and analyses at management’s request.
- Produce analyses to address internal needs or requests from public authorities.
- Contribute to preparing decision-support materials on financial, regulatory, operational, and contractual matters related to ESCs.

You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent, Bac+5) in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 5 to 6 years of experience in analysis, controlling, financial performance management, or data governance.

You possess strong analytical and numerical data processing skills and are capable of building KPIs, ensuring data reliability, and structuring management tools and processes. You have advanced proficiency in Excel and a strong command of Power BI; knowledge of SAP would be an additional asset.

Experience in the energy sector, ESC activities, a regulated environment, or contract/service provider management would be highly valued.
