Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Partner, Early Careers & University Relations owns full-cycle recruiting for interns, co-ops, and selected entry-level roles while building productive relationships with hiring leaders and university partners. The role translates workforce needs into targeted early-career recruiting and engagement plans and uses data to improve hiring outcomes and candidate experience.

What you will do

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage full-cycle recruiting for interns, co-ops, and entry-level talent, including intake, sourcing, screening, selection support, offers, and candidate disposition.

- Partner with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to clarify talent needs, define selection criteria, establish recruiting plans, and provide market-informed recommendations.

- Build and maintain relationships with priority universities, career centers, faculty, student organizations, and other early-talent partners.

- Plan and execute campus, virtual, and community recruiting activities that strengthen awareness, engagement, and qualified talent pipelines.

- Develop targeted sourcing and outreach strategies using talent communities, referrals, events, social channels, CRM capabilities, and approved AI-enabled tools.

- Track funnel health, source effectiveness, candidate experience, offer acceptance, intern conversion, and program activity; translate findings into practical improvements.

- Apply structured, inclusive, and compliant recruiting practices and maintain accurate data in SuccessFactors and related systems.

- Support internship and early-career programming, including communications, events, manager enablement, and conversion activities.

Who are you?

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

- 2-5 years of experience in recruiting and/or university relations, including experience supporting or owning recruiting processes.

- Demonstrated ability to source, assess, and engage candidates and partner effectively with hiring managers.

- Experience coordinating recruiting events or talent programs and managing multiple requisitions or projects.

- Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, recruiting metrics, Microsoft 365, and digital sourcing tools.

Working Conditions

- Travel requirement: approximately 25-40%, with seasonal peaks for campus and business-site events.

- Work environment: office, university campus, recruiting event, and occasional plant or business-site settings.

- Ability to support occasional early-morning, evening, or peak-season events.

- Valid driver eligibility and ability to travel as business needs require, where applicable.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $72,600 - $89,700 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
