As a Field Specialist IV, you will serve as a senior technical resource at the wellsite, providing drilling fluids expertise, operational support, and customer-facing consultation. You will be responsible for maintaining drilling fluid properties, overseeing fluid mixing and pumping operations, conducting technical analysis, and recommending solutions that enhance drilling performance. This role requires extensive field experience, independent decision-making, and strong customer relationship management skills.

As a Field Specialist IV, you will be responsible for:

- Providing onsite drilling fluids services with minimal supervision across assigned wellsite operations.
- Monitoring, measuring, and testing drilling fluid properties to ensure compliance with operational requirements and customer objectives.
- Supervising fluid mixing, treatment, and pumping activities to maintain optimal drilling fluid performance.
- Conducting technical analysis and recommending appropriate products, treatments, and operational solutions to control fluid properties.
- Maintaining accurate drilling fluid testing records and reporting operational data in a timely manner.
- Managing drilling fluid inventories and ensuring adequate product availability at customer well sites.
- Communicating regularly with customers, rig personnel, and operational coordinators regarding wellsite progress, fluid performance, and operational challenges.
- Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving drilling fluid-related issues while minimizing operational risks and non-productive time.
- Providing ongoing support to drilling operations by delivering environmentally responsible fluid solutions that optimize wellbore construction and enhance customer results.
- Supporting business development activities through customer engagement, field-level sales support, and technical consultations when required.
- Ensuring all activities are performed in compliance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in drilling fluids operations and drilling fluid supervision.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision in remote field environments.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of drilling fluid systems, testing procedures, and wellsite operations.
- Be proficient in the use of computers and industry-related software applications.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Have excellent communication and customer relationship management capabilities.
- Be willing and able to work a rotational schedule of 20 days on / 20 days off.
