Job Summary**

The Production Technician 2 at Lumentum Operations LLC is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality optical components and modules. This role involves operating and maintaining production equipment, performing quality inspections, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Job Responsibilities**

* Execute manufacturing processes according to established procedures and work instructions.
* Operate and monitor various production equipment, including but not limited to optical alignment systems, test equipment, and automated machinery.
* Perform in-process and final quality inspections using measurement tools and visual inspection techniques.
* Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions or process deviations, escalating complex issues to senior technicians or engineers.
* Record production data accurately and completely in manufacturing execution systems (MES) or other relevant databases.
* Adhere to all safety protocols, cleanroom procedures, and quality standards.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and workstations.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization.
* Assist in training new production technicians as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Job Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, manufacturing technology) preferred.
* 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in optics, electronics, or a related high-tech industry.
* Proven ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures accurately.
* Experience operating and performing basic maintenance on production equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise manual tasks.
* Basic computer skills, including experience with data entry and manufacturing software.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics, diagrams, and work instructions.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
* Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment, which may require wearing specialized garments.

Pay Range:
N20-USA-1 :$21.65 - $27.05
