Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agile Product Owner to lead the modernization and delivery of digital banking solutions across online, mobile, and API-driven platforms. This role will drive digital customer engagement, manage integrations with core banking systems and fintech partners, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative banking experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Banking Product Ownership
- Own, prioritize, and manage the product backlog for digital banking channels, including mobile applications, online banking platforms, and open banking APIs.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable development tasks.
- Ensure backlog priorities align with customer needs and business objectives.
Digital Transformation & Modernization
- Define and deliver features that modernize traditional banking services through digital self-service capabilities, including: Digital onboarding
- Remote Deposit Capture (RDC)
- Wire transfers
- Person-to-Person (P2P) payments
- Digital account management
Core Banking & Fintech Integrations
- Lead integrations between digital channels, core banking applications, payment systems, authentication platforms, and third-party fintech solutions.
- Partner with engineering teams to support API-driven banking architectures and cloud-enabled solutions.
Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Development, QA, and Release Management teams to define product roadmaps and delivery plans.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and Program Increment (PI) planning.
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment on product vision, priorities, and value delivery.
Quality, Security & Compliance
- Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and business requirements.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, regulatory, and PCI standards.
- Support initiatives related to fraud prevention, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and customer security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis, or Agile Software Development within Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech.
- Strong understanding of digital banking platforms, mobile banking, online banking, and API-driven architectures.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Aha!.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with payment ecosystems including ACH, RTP, Bill Pay, and P2P payment solutions.
- Understanding of digital banking security practices, including MFA, biometrics, fraud mitigation, and banking compliance frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
The base salary for this position is $106,087- $134,964 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
