What You'll Do
BCG has set an industry-leading net zero commitment that requires rigorous measurement systems, trusted reporting, and scalable operational processes. As the Sustainability Data & Analytics Senior Manager, you will manage the operational, analytical, and technical delivery of BCG’s internal sustainability measurement systems—ensuring data quality, consistent methodologies, and actionable insights across the globe.
You will manage a Senior Analyst and provide guidance and project direction to technical partners, regional stakeholders, and cross-functional data owners. Working closely with the Director of Internal Sustainability, the Reduce team, Data Tribe, Data Platform and Products teams, and external vendors, you will provide the leadership, project direction, and expert oversight necessary for BCG to meet its reporting obligations and advance its net zero program.
You will be responsible for:
• Managing end-to-end delivery of BCG’s internal GHG emissions data, reporting systems, and analytical products
• Partnering with BCG’s data engineering teams to enhance data pipelines, improve automation, and evolve sustainability data architecture
• Overseeing technical quality and delivery, including developing functional and technical specifications, reviewing data models and code quality, and resolving complex issues across sustainability data pipelines and dashboards
• Managing data governance and quality assurance, maintaining a reliable single source of truth, anticipating data risks, and coordinating timely resolution of quality and reporting challenges.
• Overseeing the development and improvement of reporting dashboards and analytical tools, ensuring they deliver actionable carbon reduction insights and meet evolving business needs.
• Managing key data inputs for BCG's annual carbon footprint calculation and coordinating the external GHG emissions data audit, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
• Building effective cross-functional partnerships with the Reduce Team and other stakeholders to clarify requirements, align delivery priorities, support adoption of reporting tools, and facilitate change management.
• Leading and developing a Senior Analyst, setting clear objectives, delegating responsibilities, providing regular feedback, and supporting performance and professional development.
What You'll Bring
Must-have technical experience:
• 8+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, BI, or related technical operational roles, ideally within a sustainability context, but not required.
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, DBT, Airflow)
• Strong SQL and Python fluency
• Advanced data visualization (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
• Experience writing technical specifications, reviewing code or data models, and supporting engineering workflows
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and experience project management
Nice to have:
• Exposure to BCG systems (SAP, Workday, ChromeRiver)
• Knowledge of JIRA or similar project management tools
• Knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting principles and assurance procedures
• Familiarity with Agile principles and practices
• Advanced Excel or statistical analysis skills
Who You'll Work With
You will report to the Sustainability Director responsible for Measurement and Reporting. You will line manage a Sustainability Senior Analyst. You will collaborate closely with the Reduce Team Pillar, Data Tribe, and technical product and data teams across BCG.

For this role, you will generally be expected to work from a BCG office or in person with clients on a regular basis (typically around 50% of working time), depending on business needs and in line with local policies and practices.
