We’re a NYC based MSP. Our culture is built on care, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. We’re looking for a Senior Systems and Network Engineer with strong MSP experience to lead complex troubleshooting, manage advanced infrastructures, and drive improvements across networks, servers, and cloud environments. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our New York City office and a long-term opportunity where your expertise will make a big impact.

What You’ll Do

- Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis on complex infrastructure issues

- Configure and manage firewalls, switches, VPNs, and wireless (SonicWall, Meraki, HP, or similar)

- Manage network security, including segmentation, IDS/IPS, and content filtering

- Administer and improve backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions

- Manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)

- Manage core Windows Server services: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services

- Secure user access with MFA, Conditional Access, SSO, and role-based access

- Manage and improve our MSP tool stack, including RMM, PSA, EDR, and MDR platforms

- Build automation and scripts (PowerShell or similar) to reduce manual work and improve operations

- Respond to critical alerts, outages, and escalations

- Take ownership of complex issues and drive them through to resolution

- Serve as the top escalation point and mentor junior engineers

- Write clear SOPs, runbooks, and network diagrams, and keep detailed ticket notes

Requirements

- 8+ years experience in MSP or enterprise IT role

- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, Teams)

- Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure

- Advanced networking knowledge: firewalls, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, SD-WAN, and wireless

- Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery (Datto, Veeam, or similar)

- Strong background in virtualization (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V), including clustering and high availability

- Experience with the full MSP stack: RMM, PSA, EDR, and MDR (Autotask, Datto RMM, ConnectWise, N-central, Auvik, SentinelOne, Huntress, or similar)

- Proven automation experience with PowerShell or other scripting tools

- Solid understanding of security best practices

- Some Linux experience is a plus

- Able to work independently, lead complex issues, and own them from start to finish

- Strong documentation skills and clear communication with technical and non-technical people

- Certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft, or firewall vendor certifications are a plus
