Job Description
We are looking for a Senior HR Data Analyst to support complex HR reporting, data analytics, dashboard development, reporting automation, and process optimization initiatives. This project-based role will focus on transforming manual and complex reporting processes, leveraging advanced Excel capabilities, Power BI, AI, automation tools, and other emerging technologies to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability. This position will be a contract and remote .
What You’ll Do
- Maintain existing HR reporting and analyze, manipulate, and format complex datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel functionality, including formulas, pivot tables, macros, conditional formatting, filters, and related tools
- Transform and optimize complex Excel-based reporting processes by identifying opportunities to simplify and automate workflows
- Leverage advanced Excel capabilities, AI, automation tools, and other emerging technologies to reduce manual effort, reporting complexity, and report production time
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and data visualizations that provide business leaders with clear visibility into trends and key insights
- Utilize Power BI, Excel, and other reporting and visualization tools to translate complex data into meaningful and easily understood information
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability of existing reporting and business processes
- Create and maintain clear process documentation outlining existing reporting workflows and step-by-step procedures
- Update documentation as processes are optimized and automated to ensure workflows remain accurate, standardized, and sustainable
- Work independently within a project-based environment while managing multiple priorities and proactively identifying and implementing solutions
What You’ll Need
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems/MIS, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline
- 8+ years of related professional experience in data analytics, advanced reporting, reporting automation, and process improvement
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, conditional formatting, data manipulation, and tools used to analyze and automate complex reporting
- Experience developing dashboards, metrics, and data visualizations using Power BI, Excel, or similar reporting and visualization tools
- Experience utilizing AI, automation tools, or other emerging technologies to improve data analysis, reporting, or business processes
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to simplify and automate manual reporting processes, improving efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights for business leaders
- Demonstrated experience working with complex datasets and reporting processes
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity
- Ability to understand complex workflows and develop clear, detailed process documentation and step-by-step instructions
- Ability to work independently in a project-based environment, manage multiple priorities, and proactively identify and implement solutions
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$70-$77 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
