The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Division Administrator, and in close collaboration with the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) program coordinator and Grants Administrator at the Complex Care Center, the Data Entry Coordinator is responsible for inputting data and making changes to existing data figures in the PortCF database, including inputting data from various sources. The Data Entry Coordinator is also responsible for double-checking their work to make sure they inputted data correctly. Follows written CF procedures and interprets and adjusts for variations in procedures within established limits.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Extracts data from patient’s electronic medical records and enters into patient registry (Port CF)
- Creates and maintains spreadsheets with patient visit information, updates existing data for CF program
- Identifies data gaps and requests clarification, verifies data by comparing to source documents
- Retrieves data from the Port CF database or electronic files as r equested, performs back up of data to ensure data preservation
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma and 1 year post high school education required
- Two years of related office experience preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
- Strong computer skills preferred.
- Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately preferred.
- Comfortable with office equipment including a computer, telephone, scanner, calculator, and photocopier preferred.
- Strong attention to detail preferred.
- Ability to think analytically and work with protected health information according to HIPAA guidelines preferred.
